초록정보 내용
Objective: The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of Chuna therapy on a group of patients who have sustained traffic-related injuries. Methods : To secure data for this study, we reviewed the medical charts belonging to 140 patients at OO Hospital of Korean Medicine. The targeted population of study were patients suffering from injuries caused traffic accidents. The patients we reviewed often sought medical assistance to manage neck and/or lower back pain related to their accidents. Results : Our findings show differences among patient response to Chuna therapy in terms of gender and age. With the gender distribution, female patients tended to show a higher initial improvement(69.3%) compared to their male patients(51.9%). In matters of age, patients between the ages of 30-40 accounted for only 37.8% of successfully treated people, a relatively low percentage compared to the other patient groups. Further review of weekly charts show that the number of patient groups showing fewer differences in improvement before and after undergoing Chuna Therapy increased. Conclusions : The results of this study suggest that patient characteristics must be considered when employing Chuna therapy as a treatment plan for patients with injuries from traffic accidents.
