Objectives :
This study was to report usefulness of concurrent cervical realignment therapy on a patient with perpheral facial palsy.
Methods :
A patient with peripheral facial palsy was treated by cervical realignment together with the other oriental medicine treatments including acupuncture, herbal medicine, 12 times from september 29th to November 24th. Pain back of the left ear (left nuchal pain) and peripheral facial palsy was assessed by visual analogue scale(VAS) and Yanagihara's unweighted grading system, respectively.
Results :
Concurrent cervical realignment therapy decreased pain back of the ear and improved the condition time dependently.
Conclusions :
Although farther study is needed, it is suggested that alleviation of pain back of the ear.
