Objectives :
The purpose of this study is to examine the physiological and functional roles of blood vessels and nerves around the cervical spinal area, which supplies for the organs in the face, to help us clarify the relationship between its many clinical characteristics. Furthermore, we aim to investigate the many therapeutic target diseases.
Methods :
A literature review was made on the related subjects.
Results :
The cervical spine connects the brain and the five viscera and six bowels. By straightening and manipulating the spine, it helps to increase blood flow to the facial organs and stimulates the nerve endings. In the study of space spine manipulation, the simple maneuver of the cervical spine can correct a variety of diseases. This study reviewed the physiological functions of the brain, eyes, nose, ears, tongue, salivary gland, and throat with its related pathological symptoms. It has newly summarized how the manipulation of the cervical spine can help to treat many diseases.
Conclusions :
The pathologies that may develop due to disorders of the cervical spine are: 1. Any pathological state of the eyes, ears, or throat excluding those that require surgical procedures. 2. Pathologies related to the head and brain such as headaches, cerebral hemorrhage, psychological disorders, and arterial blood clots. 3. Pathologies that occur around the face such as facial palsy, neuralgia, and trigeminal facial pain. 4. Pathologies around the cervical spine such as rigid muscles, and cervicalgia, and torticollis. 5. Pain around the shoulders and the back, numbness of the arms, and muscle atrophy. 6. Back pain, low back pain, stiff and rigid legs. 7. Common cold, sore and swollen throats, upper respiratory diseases, asthma, unremitting coughs, pneumonia, and swollen lymph nodes. 8.Vocal cord problems etc.
